Across the Border

Across the Border

Original version:

Translation:

Heard some people live

Where we used to

Just a little further from there

People like us do live

There is a fence between us

Which does distribute

Not just the earth

but our hearts as well

But what do I see

That all over there

They are just like us

The same boom of villages

The same hullabaloo of cities

I see similar things there

as those on this side too

I do feel as if

There is something between us

No fences of any kind

But the thing is one

big mirror lying between

I see my reflection

Which looks across then

Come on, let’s do it now

Let’s go there and see

What they view is from there too

They, too, see it like this

Come on, let’s do it now

Let’s cross the border–!

Summary: It’s an Urdu nazam named ‘sarhad k paar’ a concept that I think of when I see ‘sarhad k paar’ (across the border).

Spirit of Love

Spirit of Love

Original version:

Translation:

The scales of dissolution in love are different

They do not dare to fall in love with anyone

We were proud for all the buyers

Now I don’t explain to the stoned hearted

My myths of love is fictitiously different

Do not foolishly wipe away running tears

Such a prison is not wrapped in chains

It does not sew conscience under the guise of truth and falsehood

He is our close family, so now let’s make understanding the intention

We will not lie in eternal complexities forever

We have been living like this for many years

We have gone far beyond the age of innocence

Summary: This poem is all about the essence of ” Love” which is killed at the sake of rivalry between two rich countries in culture, traditions and religion. It’s the voice of truth which has always been caught through a few culprits and enemies of love. I anticipate that my tiny struggle to write for tranquility, peace and love is being accepted in front of readers.

Milky Way

Milky Way

As the planets orbit around, the sun shaves past
The order of the phoenix remains constant
Space blows of perpetual particles of dust
Amidst the blow, the system remains unruly:
They aim at removing Pluto from the dwarf list

Even the comets roused to peaks with pride
The sky spread vast to the eastern side
The universe together gave an uplaud
A combination of twilight and moonlight:
Something that was unseen to naked eyes

It was an unreal and undefined Galaxy
No astronaut could suggest a name
Therefore the immense stride it held
Gave it the name of ‘Milky Way’:
Yes it was Galileo’s discovery of 1610

O my! Mystified at the thought,
Surprised at the developing fact,
People gazed at the sky impatiently,
The complete 8 planets of the system
For a future uniting reply, yet to come

Future Hope

Future Hope

Uniting
Invisible stands a barrier,
crafted and cracked with wires
Two lands stand in ceremony,
hoisting rituals of old

People dotted along the lines,
rubbed in sand long ago
Curious, but not tempting fate-
as they peek over the wall

Their young were told the stories,
their history wrapped in a bow
The path to the future had begun,
yet there remained fractures of old

Letting go of tumultuous sorrow,
is the challenge that stands
But lights flicker in the distance,
beckoning the hopeful through

It calls and calls, echoing,
our peaceful tunes as hymmes
Till melodies are etched in us,
And we sing along in perfect sync

Uniting

Uniting

Uniting

The river winds down the land, but the bridge between is obscured still,
The shrubs grow in the undergrowth, but tangled roots are unseen until;
Sweet cherries bloom seeking the light, enjoyed by all who cross it,
They come bearing their hidden truths, letting the ties be gently knit;
For Nature loves to take the gaps and see them fill

There soon was a common ground, connected in spirit- heart to heart,
The shrubs still laden with gifts now thriving, their roots never meant to part;
Cherries and fruits all greet as the day breaks, sharing stories of travel,
A firmer hope now planted deep within, but many more left to unravel;
Keep strong for path to peace, we are now just at the start
